BRIO goes big with signature Pull Along Dachshund, BRIO World playsets at Toy Fair
BRIO World display at Toy Fair
If BRIO has a signature toy, it's undoubtedly its Pull Along Dachshund.
At last month's Toy Fair, Sweden's venerable (founded in 1884) wooden toy manufacturer celebrated its iconic dog with a new oversized version, 50 percent bigger than the tail-wagging, head- and ears-moving original that's been a toddler favorite since 1953.
Also for toddlers, BRIO unveiled its My First Take Along Set: a carry-along case that becomes a train set when opened and its contents—a My First Engine with bell wagon, train tracks and ramps—are connected to the case's built-in curved tracks. The set is compatible with BRIO World--the open-ended play system employing real-life scenarios in inspiring creativity, of which BRIO’s wooden railway has always been the heart.
As for the Brio World line, the company showcased new playsets at Toy Fair including Central Fire Station, World Police Station, and School Playset, all on a big BRIO World display piece.
